Climate friendly Leeds. Report on our participatory workshop
We ran "Climate friendly Leeds. A workshop for members of the public and Leeds decision makers" on 8th October 2021. Our survey data evidences the varied and nuanced ways in which people think about carbon emissions and climate change in relation to their everyday lives. We wanted to ask: how might such nuance, and engaging people with 'what matters' in their everyday lives, be mobilised in support of climate friendly policy and decision making? We designed the workshop to explore these questions, and with support from Leeds Climate Commission and Leeds City Council we brought together research participants, Leeds City Council officers, Leeds councillors, community group representatives and other city stakeholders. The summary report of the workshop and the workshop presentation slides are accessible through the links below.
