Outcomes of care experienced and estranged students

Jacqueline Stevenson has been involved in ‘Positive Impact?’, a study commissioned and funded by the Unite Foundation to synthesise what is known about the outcomes of care experienced and estranged students; evidence the causes of differential outcomes (access, retention success and progression); and make recommendations designed to enhance practice. The research reports bring together the available data on completion rates and outcomes with new qualitative research into the barriers that these groups face. The report was launched in the Houses of Parliament on 12 February 2020. Further outputs from the research are forthcoming.
